What we do
The AI tool market changes every week. New models launch, pricing shifts, features appear and disappear. PromptWises exists to cut through that noise. We publish four kinds of content:
- Reviews of individual AI tools, based on hands-on testing with real tasks.
- Comparisons that put competing tools side by side and name a winner for each use case.
- Guides that teach prompting techniques and workflows you can apply immediately.
- News covering launches, updates and pricing changes that actually affect users.
How we test
Every tool we review goes through the same core tasks so results are comparable: long-form writing, summarizing documents, answering factual questions, writing and debugging code, generating images or media where relevant, and handling multi-step instructions. We score each tool on output quality, ease of use, speed and reliability, pricing and value, and privacy and data handling.
Ratings are on a five-point scale. A 4.5 or higher means we would recommend the tool to almost anyone in its category. Below 3.0 means we think most people should look elsewhere.
Independence
We do not accept payment for reviews, and vendors never see a review before it is published. Some links on the site are affiliate links; they have no influence on ratings or rankings. Read the full editorial policy.
Keeping content current
AI tools change fast, so each article shows both a published and an updated date. When a tool makes a meaningful change, we revisit the review and update the rating if needed.
